The Guyana Police Force would like to inform the public that earlier today (2021/04/06 between 14:00 hrs and 14:30 hrs), armed robbery suspect Christopher Cornett was ‘positively identified’ by victims during an ID parade that was conducted in the La Grange Police Station Identification room.
Chief Inspector Humphry conducted the identification parade in relation to two separate armed robberies which was committed on Jadeshwar Doolchand on 2021/03/30 at Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara; and on Navindra Kooblall and Leon Dyal on 2021/04/03 at a restaurant in Pouderoyen, WBD.
During the ID parade, the suspect Christopher Cornett, who was arrested on 2021/04/03 by ranks of Regional Division ‘4A’ and handed over to the Police in Region 3, was placed among seven other persons of similar statue and description.
Police Commander for Regional Division 3, Senior Superintendent Errol Watts said Cornett was then positively identified by all three victims as the person who rob them.
