Rawle Farrell, of 699 6th Street, Dazzle Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara. who was wanted by the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit for possession of 1.5kg marijuana, has turned himself over to lawmen on Monday. Farrell was on CANU’s most wanted list.
According to reports, CANU ranks acting on information on March 29, went to the suspect’s home. Upon their arrival, officers saw the suspect who ran down the stairs and made good his escape despite their instructions for him to stop. They gave chase but were unable to catch him.
A search on Farrell’s home revealed several zip-lock plastic bags and bulky parcels with leaves, seeds,s and stems all suspected to be cannabis at the property.
Whilst CANU officers were conducting their operation at the premises, Farell’s arrived at the scene where she was questioned by CANU during which she told officers that the man lives at the premises alone and she “never knew he is do drugs” and that she would bring him into CANU.
He will make his court appearance at the Cove And John Magistrate’s today.
