21-y-o Clive Prince of Tucville, Georgetown appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann Mc Lenna charged with robbing a Venezuelan National at Demico House area. He was granted $30,000 bail.
Ricky Menque, a Venezuelan National of Third Street Friendship, East Bank Demerara, was allegedly robbed of one Samsung J3 cell phone valued $25,000, $25,000 cash, one brown wallet valued $2000 containing an ID Card, license, immigration papers and some Venezuelan documents on Sunday at about 16:30hrs at Demico House Georgetown on the western pavement by Prince.
Information reaching Daily News is that the victim on the day in question collected $25,000 from his wife at her place of work in Kingston.
He then travelled to a supermarket on Regent Street, Bourda to purchase some items. Afterwards, Menque took a route 40 mini bus and travelled to the Kitty mini bus park where he existed same and began walking south along the pavement at Demico House.
Whilst walking, he observed the three suspects walking along the said pavement in the opposite direction however, one of the suspect walked pass and grabbed the him around his neck, whilst his accomplices pushed their hands in his pants pockets and relieved him of his belonging and escaped north on the said pavement.
On the said date at about 17:00hrs, Prince was arrested in connection with the robbery. He was positively identified as the perpetrator of the crime.
