Jonathan McKenze, age 20 years of 102 Leopold Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for possession of firearm and ammunition. He pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate Court before Magistrate, Faith Mc Gusty.

According to reports, police went to the location based on information received. Upon seeing the police, the man ran into an apartment holding his crotch. Police then gave chased and he was caught. A search was conducted but nothing was found. However, a search in the apartment revealed a .32 Taurus pistol with 4 live matching rounds. No one else was in the apartment at the time of the search and arrest.
