Today, a colleague of mine had a situation with her child; that needed URGENT medical attention. We left the office and got the child, but the traffic was crazy, being in the middle of the mid day rush. Though I had on my “hazard”, no one seem to care and one guy even cussed about my urgency. In the heat of it all, I saw a Police vehicle approaching, I gestured for them to stop, they did, I told them of the situation at hand and requested that they give us an “escort” to GPHC – A&E. In no time and no questions asked, they turned the vehicle around, put on the siren and got us to the A&E gate, even asked the guard to open the gate so that I can drive in. I did not get the names of any of those 4 GENTLEMEN, nor the number on the vehicle, they left immediately. But I say, Thank You, this is what SERVICE & PROTECTION is.
