38-y-o Vickram Singh and Safraz Bacchus both of Mon Repos, North East Coast Demerara was allegedly robbed of one gold chain valued $600,000, one 75 dwt. of gold chain valued $600,000, two cell phones valued $136,000, respectively on Sunday at around 22:00hrs by three men.

According to reports, Singh and Bacchus were walking towards a motor vehicle, which was parked in the vicinity of Sweety and Sonny shop when they were confronted by the three men. The bandits were armed with cutlasses and wood. Singh and Bacchus were dealt several lashes about their bodies causing injuries about their bodies. The victims were then relieved of the items. The bandits then made good their escape.
Investigations are ongoing.
