DPP maintains Bisram should face judge/Jury

Director of Public Prosecutions, Shalimar Ali-Hack is maintaining that former murder accused Marcus Bisram should face a Judge and Jury for the murder of Berbice Carpenter, Fiaz Narinedatt.

The DPP is asking that an order by the High Court to quash her directives in the matter be overturned. Justice Simone Moriss-Ramlall ordered Magistrate Renita Singh not to comitt Bisram to stand trial for the murder. A directive was sent by the DPP for Singh to comitt Bisram to stand trial.

Bisram was accused of being the mastermind behind the murder of Berbice carpenter Faiyaz Nariendatt back 2016. Nyron Yacoob, Deodatt, Orlando Dickie, Parasram and Radesh Motie.

Bisram was extradited from the United States of America to face murder charges.
