Hemant Dhanpaul aka “Chicken man” of Maria’s Lodge, Essequibo Coast was pounced on by two men who attempted to rob him on Tuesday at around 23:30hrs.

According to reports reaching Daily News, Dhanpaul was going downstairs of his house when two men armed with cutlasses and firearm, dealt him several lashed about his body. One of the suspects, then pointed a gun at the victim demanding cash. However, the man raised an alarm and the suspects made good their escape.
Investigations are ongoing.
